Joseph Taylor, Jr: Claybourne Elder Jenny Brinker: Elizabeth A Davis Joseph Taylor, Sr: Malcolm Gets Marjorie Taylor: Jessica Tyler Wright Grandma Taylor/Mrs Lansdale: Alma Cuervo Charlie Townsend: George Abud Hazel: Maggie Lakis Molly/Emily: Jane Pfitsch A great capture of this rarely performed Rogers and Hammerstein show. This 90-minute abridged version of the show is adorable and quaint; the actors play instruments, giving the show an intimate feel. This is a great capture with no washout, very little obstruction, and only a couple short dropouts. There are a couple heads at the bottom of the screen, but they do not affect the action. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Svenno van Kleij (Billy), Tycho Bekker (Michael), Misha van Leeuwen (Debbie), Pia Douwes (Mrs. Wilkinson), Bas Heerkens (Vader), Renier Demeijer (Tony), Carry Tefsen (Oma), Bas Grevelink (George), Leos Worm (Moeder). The video is shot from the centre of the raised stalls, with a direct view of the stage and no obstructions. The action is captured in a mix of shots as appropriate, with closeups for the dialogue scenes and wideshots that capture the choreography excellently. It's a difficult show to film lighting-wise so there are places that are over- or under-exposed, but overall it is an excellent video of a wonderful performance.

Madam Arcati: Angela Lansbury Charles Condomine: Charles Edwards Elvira: Jemima Rooper Ruth Condomine: Charlotte Parry Dr Bradman: Simon Jones Mrs Bradman: Sandra Shipley Edith: Susan Louise O’Connor A great capture of this Noel Coward classic during it’s Los Angeles run. Angela Lansbury is perfect in the role, and the rest of the cast is fantastic as well. This capture is near perfect with no washout, no blackouts, and only minor obstruction. There is one head that occasionally leans in on the left, but it’s worked around fine and does not block the action. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Amir: Hari Dhillon Isaac: Josh Radnor Emily: Gretchen Mol Jory: Karen Pittman Abe: Danny Ashor A nice capture of this thought-provoking play. The story of a dinner party gone awry, the play delves into issues of religion, racism, sexism, domestic violence, and much more. The cast is fantastic, giving great performances all around. This is a nice capture with no washout, no blackouts, and very minor obstruction. There are a couple heads that can be seen at the bottom of the screen, but they never affect the action. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is very good overall, but there is more shuffling and static than usual; all of the dialogue is listenable. Steven Grant Douglas, Katie Postotnik, Carla R. Stewart, Robby Haltiwanger, Fernando Contreras, Brandon Curry, Evette Marie White, Lydia Warr, Hana Freeman, Shannan E. Johnson. Brown Lindiwe Mkhize, Shaun Escoffery, Natasha Jayetileke, Stephen Matthews, George Aspery, Allyson Addo, Gary Forbes, Mark Sangster. The first hour of Act 1 with no blackouts and action well followed. The only obstruction there is a head of a child which was getting fidgety towards the end so at times it gets in the shot but other than that no real problems and I believe that if I had more life in my battery it would have turned out to be the best Lion King video out there because it's beautifully captured in 16:9 wide-screen.

This is a great capture of the final cast before the show closed on January 18th, 2015. A few blackouts, though shot in nice widescreen with wides, mediums and closeups. Some washout in the wideshots, but nothing too bad. The disc also includes Frankie’s BC/EFA speech and auction after the curtain call. A

Brandon Victor Dixon (Haywood Patterson), Julian Glover (The Interlocutor), Dawn Hope (The Lady), Joshua Da Costa (Roy Wright), Colman Domingo (Mr Bones), Emmanuel Kojo (Clarence Norris), James T Lane (Ozie Powell/Ruby Bates), Dex Lee (Charles Weems/Victoria Price), Forrest Mcclendon (Mr Tambo), Keenan Munn-Francis (Eugene Williams), Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton (Olen Montgomery), Emile Ruddock (Willie Roberson), Carl Spencer (Andy Wright). Brilliant show. Missing the first minute, but otherwise well-filmed. There are rare moments where there is a head at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn’t last for long and nothing much is missed. Great close-ups and wide-shots for choreography. Includes curtain call.

Great show (though admittedly I’ve never seen the original), shame it closed so soon. Takes a couple of minutes to settle down but very well filmed - steady and unobstructed with nice close-ups.

Joey Fatone, Jessica Snow-Wilson, Rob Bartlett, Rob Evan, DeQuina Moore, Trisha Jeffrey, and Carla J. Hargrove Gotta say, I'm impressed by Fatone's interpretation of Seymour, with his goofy, mock-Brooklyn dweeb accent and quirky line delivery -- and more than any of the versions I've seen/heard, this cast really made the show their own. The sound's decent on this, though there's a few instances when it's muffled, and the finale gets kinda blown out. A

Elphaba: Teal Wicks Glinda: Emily Rozek (s/b) Fiyero: Derrick Williams The Wizard: Tim Talman (u/s) Mme. Morrible: Carol Kane Nessarose: Briana Yacavone Boq: Michael Drolet Dr. Dillamond: David De Vries Fabulous cast. Emily makes a great Glinda, and Tim is a very funny and bald) Wizard. Some spotlight washout, but most of it is very clear, and the sound is excellent throughout. There's a small blooper in Popular when Emily goes to take the flower out of her hair, it gets stuck and she says, "Ouch, it's stuck." The DVD is an hour and 28 minutes on one disc. filmed from the left mezz near the door . mostly medium shots, but there are a mix of close-ups and wide shots as well. The quality of capture varies from scene to scene, so I've rated them in sections below, mostly based on any shakiness, wandering, obstructions, or black outs. The right side and center of the stage are virtually unobstructed. The left side is obstructed, but I worked around it in the "A-" rated sections. The screencaps give a good idea of how much washout and obstruction there was overall.
