It’s Only a Play - December 29, 2014 Broadway
James Wicker: Nathan Lane Peter Austin: Matthew Broderick Julie Budder: Megan Mullally Virginia Noyes: Stockard Channing Frank Finger: Rupert Grint Ira Drew: F Murray Abraham Gus P Head: Micah Stock A good capture of the play’s original cast. The play is absolutely hysterical — Nathan, Megan, and Micah being particularly fantastic. This capture has no washout and only minor obstruction, but most of the first 26 minutes of Act One are blacked out. After that, the show is very nicely captured with just one head that can occasionally be seen at the bottom of the screen and does not affect the action. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is very good overall, but there is more shuffling and static than usual; all of the dialogue is listenable. Includes playbill scans.

David Andino, Kaitlyn Frotton, Chris Grace, Adam Hyndman, Tim Murray, Amber Petty, Casey Rogers, Alec Varcas, Ashley Ward, Chloe Williamson. Almost perfect capture of the show. The action is well followed, no washout, only some head obstruction that block actors' feet, but nothing bad; audio taken from the soundboard. A

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike - June 7, 2014 The Old Globe
Vanya: Martin Moran, Sonia: Marcia DeBonis, Masha: Candy Buckley, Spike: Tyler Lansing Weaks, Cassandra: Hanefah Wood, Nina: Allison Layman A very nice capture of The Old Globe’s production. The cast is fantastic, and they play off each other very well. It’s great to see new faces in each role, and a fresh take on each character. I particularly loved Marcia’s Sonia. The show has no washout, no obstruction, and very steady filming. There is a two minute blackout before/during Nina’s entrance, but the show is otherwise fully captured. As usual, it’s filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups, and the sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike - March 1, 2014 Los Angeles, CA
Mark Blum (Vanya), Kristine Nielsen (Sonia), Christine Ebersole (Masha), David Hull (Spike), Shalita Grant (Cassandra), Liesel Allen Yeager (Nina). Near perfect capture of the L.A. production of this great play, one quick drop out in Act I but the video is perfect other than this with no washout or obstruction, there's a high pitched squeal from an audience member's hearing device that can be heard a couple of times but it's short lived and the dialogue can be heard clearly over it, filmed in 16:9 with wides, mediums and close-ups, includes a somewhat obstructed curtain call.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - April 9, 2006 Chicago *Not For Trade*
James Earl Jones II, Bill Larkin, Cristen Paige, Eric Roediger, Jen Sese, Lucia Spina, Derrick Trumbly, Brad Weinstock, Christine Werny. Highlights: meaning 100% audio is there, but was very hard to film, so I'd say 70% of the show is visually there. Camera wanders at times, but cast was Fabulous.

Neil Patrick Harris, Lena Hall, Justin Craig, Matt Duncan, Tim Mislock, Peter Yanowitz. Stunning HD capture of the triple Tony winner with no obstructions. Sparkling, dazzling and moving production that merits all the noise it is making. This was the performance where a lady brought her dog to the show, and Hedwig had fun with that! Also includes Bonus footage from a different performance: Origin of Love, Wig in a Box, Wicked Little Town, Long Grift, Wicked Little Town (Gnosis Version), Midnight Radio. VOB with small files

A wonderful show in my opinion! A

The Man: Hugh Jackman The Woman: Cush Jumbo The Other Woman: Laura Donnelly A nice capture of one of this year’s most talked about plays. A very intimate, thoughtful, and charming story; Hugh Jackman gives a great performance, as does the supporting cast. This is a good capture overall with no washout, very little obstruction, and only a couple short dropouts. There is one head that can occasionally be seen, but does not affect the action, and there are a couple scenes that are a bit dark and hard to see. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is a bit buzzy sometimes, and there is some occasionally shuffling, but all dialogue is listenable. Includes curtain call, audio only of Hugh’s BC/EFA speech and auction, and playbill scans.

Emma Stratton, Brian Krinsky, Tracy Bidleman, Anthony Chan,Drew Martin, Willie Dee, Kenny Francoeur, Lexie Path, Rachelle Rose Clark. Very nice capture of a rarely filmed show. Its been 1.5 Years since its last capture. This video is nicely captured, it does have some head
obstruction in act one, act two has much less. Nice close ups, nice vibrant colors. There is rarely a bit of shakiness while I re-adjust. I'm surprised how well it came out considering I had not 1,2 or 3 but 6 ushers sitting about 5 seats away. The show is full and includes curtain call. Footage from before and after the show and outside of the theatre. (After the show the curtian came back up so I went to the main floor to film a small clip) Also an interview, promo and commercial. Plus a little promotion released.

George Bailey, Nick Andres, Keegan Sells, Gayle Krieger, Brandon Fox,Patrick Walters, Carly Sells, Tanner Sells , Kasey Woofgang, Molly Finney, Jillian Savage, Dayton Duvall. The video is pretty well filmed, however during the beginning of act 1 there is a 3 minute blackout because of late comers. At about the 20 minute mark of Act 1 a man moves to sit in the isle, it doesn't black much except the beginning minute of the song. After the song I moved, the rest of Act 1 and 2 are great. No head Obstruction, One maybe Two 30 second block out but besides that it is great.

Ella: Keke Palmer Topher: Joe Carroll Marie: Judy Kaye Madame: Nene Leakes Gabrielle: Stephanie Gibson Charlotte: Laura Irion Jean-Michel: Todd Buonopane Lord Pinkleton: Phumzile Sojola Sebastian: Peter Bartlett Footman: Andy Mills Driver: Michael Callahan Lady of Ridicule: Jill Abramovitz A nice capture of Keke just two days before the show closed on Broadway. She’s lovely in the role, but has a very different voice than Laura or Paige. Many of the melodies were changed to fit her voice. Nene is also fantastic and gets a lot of laughs. A very nicely captured video; there are a few heads at the bottom of the screen during act one, but they are easily worked around so they rarely affect the action. Act two has no obstruction. There are also a couple quick dropouts in each act, but no major blackouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, encore, and playbill scans.

Matteo Zecca (Billy), Ruthie Henshall (Mrs Wilkinson), Chris Grahamson (Tony), Gillian Elisa (Grandma), David Muscat (Mr Braithwaite), Zach Atkinson (Michael), Demi Lee (Debbie). The video contains the first half hour of act one and the angry dance and the entire of act two. During this show there was a technical issue with the bed/kitchen/house set and so it is interesting to see the changes that were made in act two without this piece of scenery. Most of the show is visible apart from electricity which is very shaky. The angle of the camera in act 2 is also occasionally pointed too high. Large AVI files)

Matilda – January 1, 2015 eve Broadway - NFT until April 30, 2015
Tori Feinstein (Matilda), Alison Luff (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Alex Brightman (Michael Wormwood), Phillips Spaeth (Rudolpho), Grace Capeless (Lavender), Mitchell Sink(Bruce), Jonah Halperin (Nigel), Beatrice Tulchin (Amanda), Christian Michael Camporin (Eric), Alexa Shae Niziak (Alice), Ava DeMary (Hortensia), Chris Sumpter (Tommy), Geoff Packard (Doctor/Sergei/The Escape Artist), Jennifer Bowles (The Acrobat), Sean Montgomery (Party Entertainer). An excellent capture of Tori as Matilda. She’s a very impressive young actress, and has her own fresh take on the role. The rest of the cast is solid as well; I believe this is the first capture of Alison Luff, and she steps into the show beautifully. This is very nicely captured with no washout, no major blackouts, and very little obstruction. A railing blocks the very front left corner of the stage, but only the actors’ legs are unseen. Telly is audio only; the video for act two begins when the house lights go down and Lavender takes the stage. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Matilda - May 9, 2014 Broadway - NFT Until May 31, 2015
Oona Laurence (Matilda), Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Gabriel Ebert (Mr Wormwood), Phillip Spaeth (Rudolpho), Karen Aldridge (Mrs Phelps), Jake Broderick (Bruce), Frenie Acoba (Lavender)
Oona is a darker, more brooding Matilda and it works well. The first act is nearly perfect and unobstructed, second act’s escapologist scene (~3 minutes) is audio only and there is some slight head obstruction at times during the second act.

There are a few heads at the bottom of the screen, but they are easily worked around so they rarely affect the action. There are some quick dropouts in each act, and Telly is audio only while the house lights are on, but there are no other major blackouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, encore, and playbill scans.

Mathias Edenborn, Daniela Braun (u/s), Nicky Wuchinger, Norbert Kohler (u/s), Anton Rattinger, Rachel Anne Moore, Raymond Sepe, Michaela Christl, Vanessa Spireti. Video was originally pretty dark but the master edited it to be brighter. This does mean that certain parts have a lot of washout while others are very grainy. Nevertheless, decently shot vide

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike – June 7, 2014 The Old Globe

Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris – November 2014 London *Limited Trade*
A video of the recent London production of the revue. Brel's music is lovely, the translations very well done, and the cast stellar. It was great to finally see Gina Beck live, and she gets some lovely songs to sing, from ones reminiscent to the roles she's played before, to a proper rockstar number. Daniel Boys and David Burt are also excellent as always, and Eve Polycarpou amazes me more with her voice every time I see her. The video is shot from the back of the theatre with a great view of the stage. The show's light design (specifically, no spotlights on the performers) made it a bit more difficult to film, but it's still a very good video, following the action well throughout the show. A+

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels – 2014 London *Limited Trade*
Robert Lindsay (Lawrence Jameson), Alex Gaumond (Freddy Benson), Katherine Kingsley (Christine Colgate), Bonnie Langford (Muriel Eubanks), Gary Wilmot (Andre Thibault), Lizzy Connolly (Jolene). A video of the reimagined London production (directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell) of the Broadway show, which is just as fun as ever with its old-fashioned charm and great numbers. Robert Lindsay and Alex Gaumond are hilarious as the eponymous scoundrels, and the supporting cast are all stellar, with Bonnie Langford and Gary Wilmot stealing the show in their roles. The video is shot from the circle with a very good view of the stage, and only some head obstruction in the bottom of wider shots. There are a few brief blackouts throughout the show, but mostly during dialogue scenes. The shots are a mix of wides and zooms as necessary, following all the action in the best way possible. The colors are brilliant - bright and vivid, with little to no spotlight washout. 2 DVDs. A
